Jessica Alba showed off her body after baby at the ALMA Awards on the arm of designer Narciso Rodriguez in a blush pink silk charmeuse dress created by the designer himself.
The designer is the first to receive the new award “Special Achievement in Fashion,” presented to individuals whose work has influenced American culture. Narciso says, “I was very proud. I felt very honored. It’s amazing to be the first to be given an award especially created for fashion especially by the Latin community.”
Having sold a stake in his company to Liz Claiborne Inc, changing production facilities and fabric sources , the designer also has plans to launch a new fagrance in January.
"The economy is such that it's a tough moment for everyone. We are happy we haven't decreased the business in any way, but the company usually grows like 20 per cent every year and that hasn't happened. We are trudging through this Bush mess and looking forward to the next steps," Rodriguez tells WWD.
An advertising and image campaign will accompany the fragrance which is licensed by Beauty Prestige International.
